General Adjuster

Sterling Kilpatrick grew up immersed in the construction industry, working in his grandfather’s construction business from a young age. By the age of three, he was already familiar with construction sites and had started learning the trade of damage restoration.

After graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in criminal justice, Sterling began his career as an insurance adjuster in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially aspiring to become a lawyer, he was drawn to the idea of advocating for clients against powerful institutions. However, during his job search, he was introduced to catastrophe adjusting, which allowed him to hone his estimating and negotiating skills. During this period, he obtained several state licenses and earned a Level 2 Xactimate certification.

Sterling spent several years handling claims for State Farm, where he observed inappropriate behavior and treatment towards policyholders by the carrier. This experience fueled his desire to advocate more effectively for policyholders. In 2019, he transitioned to public adjusting, aligning his career with his values and focusing on helping policyholders rather than saving money for insurance carriers.

At Skipton and Associates, Sterling is dedicated to ensuring that policyholders receive the compensation they deserve. His extensive background in construction and insurance adjusting, coupled with his commitment to advocacy, makes him a formidable ally for those navigating the complexities of insurance claims.
