Jack Karlen
Vice President of Sales & Marketing | Public Insurance Adjuster | Board of Director, NAPIA
Jack Karlen is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Skipton Claims Management, one of Arizona’s leading public adjusting firms. He works with homeowners, commercial property owners, condominium and homeowners associations, property managers, contractors, attorneys, and business owners to help navigate complex property insurance claims after fires, water damage, wind and hail events, storms, theft, and other covered losses.
With a background built on leadership, communication, and problem-solving, Jack focuses on educating policyholders before, during, and after the claims process. He believes that informed property owners make better decisions and that every policyholder deserves to understand their rights under their insurance policy. Whether speaking with a first-time homeowner after a kitchen fire or working alongside attorneys and restoration professionals on a multimillion-dollar commercial loss, Jack is committed to making the insurance claims process more transparent and less overwhelming.
Jack also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA) and is the Chair of NAPIA’s Public Relations & Marketing Committee. In this national leadership role, he helps guide the organization’s communications strategy, develops educational content for policyholders and public adjusters, oversees marketing initiatives, and works to increase public awareness of the important role licensed public insurance adjusters play in protecting policyholders across the United States.
As Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Skipton Claims Management, Jack leads the company’s marketing strategy, educational outreach, and business development efforts. He regularly develops resources that help explain complex insurance topics in plain language, including policy coverages, depreciation, code upgrades, business interruption, additional living expenses (ALE), claims documentation, and the appraisal process. His goal is to empower property owners with accurate information before they make costly decisions during an insurance claim.
Before joining the insurance industry, Jack spent nearly twenty years in the live entertainment and production industry, managing large-scale productions and technical operations throughout North America, Europe, the Caribbean, and beyond. Working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments taught him how to solve complex problems, coordinate multiple stakeholders, communicate clearly, and remain calm during challenging situations—skills that now translate directly into advocating for policyholders during stressful property losses.
Jack is passionate about advancing the public adjusting profession through education, ethical leadership, and consumer advocacy. He believes that public adjusters play a vital role in helping restore families, businesses, and communities after disasters by ensuring policyholders receive the benefits they are entitled to under their insurance policies.
